Royal Demands

This kingdom's tyranical ruler dominates all currency and legal commerce in the land. Various peerage, gentry, and personages, and their servants, who vie for supremacy in such a realm must keep track of their sovereign's and society's social calendars of nobility. Success can be achieved by offering the King tribute, investing in the royal mint, proposing business ventures to the King, and attending his many balls and tournaments, where astounding rewards, even the hand of the King's daughter, tempt the amibitious. But another risky path can lead to influence over the King, for an elicit undergound market evades his grasp and plagues his house. Through shady deals of daring, calculating lords can obtain power over many aspects of the King's life, including special access to his royal court, throne room, processions, carriage, or son, or special control over his signet, castle, herald, treasury, or paramour...
